headache. major headache

whoa, i was feeling really really emo yesterday. super super moody and listless. started in the morning, sitting alone at the reservoir waiting for training, thought about stuff wayyyy too much. just ended up feeling worse and worse about myself, feeling like some stupid fool for letting things get to the way they were. urghh - damn.

training itself wasnt too bad, at least we moved on from sculling. passed the sculling test without too much difficulty, done it before anyway. on coach's orders, we took a 3km paddle to get used to paddling and test out his suggested paddling techniques.

i was hoping to use training to take my mind of those problems and to a certain extent they worked a little, but the feelings returned with even greater intensity after training ended. i tell you, i was working so hard not to scream or something all the way during lunch and the bus ride home. the pain felt like something was eating me from the inside. wow. trust me that hurts like hell. thankfully i managed to get kevin to meet me for circuits in the evening, whacked the circuits just so to tire myself out and not give myself too much free time to think. aye. life sucks doesnt it.

night was slightly better i think. got home at 8plus, took at a shower and kinda stoned in front of the com not knowing what to do. talked to some people online who really gave me good advice. especially cheryllwin i tell you, she gives good advice like a professional, and i think she doesnt even realise shes that good. thanks.


aye, i hope it works out. if not, im gonna have a hellish two years ahead of me. i wonder if my current choice of action is the right one.

lectures tutorials. school again. nothing much nice. thoughhh, dionis tricked me. she told me the night before that they wanted to go for OG lunch and asked me to stay back after lessons ended. she stalled and stalled and stalled then suddenly some cake appeared magically from nowhere la. ok. OG12 rocks. thanks for the cake and the birthday wishes yall. love ya loads.

OG lunch was .... errr... not OG lunch at all. ALL of them ended up ps-ing la, left dionis and i to go for lunch at.... 4? yeah anyway, went over to PS and had a simple lunch, walked around a little, then left. just to note, dionis was being super secretive that day, simply flat-out refused to let me walk her to the busstop, claimed that she had something to do.... hmmm. who/what eh?

*some company set up a temporary stall at the school cafeteria selling sports stuff, haha, ended up with so many canoeing / soccer people hanging around. shared 2 boxes of power-gel with gideon, raymond, cheehao, louis, leon. darn, $17.50 for 8 measly packets.

Saturday 160208

water training was boringggg. just hour after hour of submarine sculling in the T-1. tsk. haha. supposed to have test today but coach was too busy to check on us. what a waste. now its postponed to next saturday. at least i know now that i can do the stupid submarine without capsizing. HAH. didnt even get my hair wet today.

after training was cool though, gideon and raymond actually told people it was my birthday tomorrow and then they got this super sweet small chocolate cake and stuck a candle into it. and then i passed the cake around and made everybody have some. muhahaha. so sinful la the cake. haha. so super paiseh la, even the J2s were singing happy birthday. alright people, im really touched. besides, the gang even bought me a present! haha. nice sexy waterbottle guys, im so gonna bring it to school to show off alright. lunched with gideon, cheehao, louis, samuel, fiona, dayna. haha. super funny lunch. kept teasing gideon and dayna. they seriously must learn to process their words before they talk, kept getting themselves into more and more teasings. HAH.

oh oh oh! i saw natwee at sgn mrt when i passed by today! haha. its been so long since i last saw her, i think that was at .... some ncc camp or something? wow. im surprised we could actually recognise each other.

and just like that, another Chinese New Year has come and gone. after weeks and weeks of hype and anticipation, celebrations are over in two days. tsk tsk. what a letdown.


Day 1 - Dad's side
generally, the annual visit to the temple to pay respects to the ancestors in the morning. then making a round of visits to the usual relatives over the course of the morning and the early afternoon. its amazing how much things have changed now. these visits used to be super fun cos we were all little kids and we would just keep eating and eating the tidbits and gulp down so many cups of soft drinks. now that everyones older, i guess we're all more health conscious or something cos we barely even touch the food and .. yea.

anyway, spent the rest of the afternoon at home waiting for relatives to arrive. full family gathering / dinner. played with nicholas and his toddler brother - benjamin. darn, big mistake, i ended up with so many cuts and sore spots on my arms where they scratched and ... i swear ben bit me at some point. haha. violent tendencies dude. anyway, they somehow managed to lose my $40 basketball by bouncing it down a slope and into a storm drain. -___-" haha. nvm nvm, its alright.


Day 2 - Mum's side
had a bit of a sleep in, then went down to chinatown to granny's place. had a super yummy lunch of homemade mee siam, after which there was basically nothing much to do except to wait for guests to arrive then serve them tidbits and drinks. haha like a waiter. anyway, i got bored of sitting around doing nothing so i actually went into the room and napped for like 2hours on the ohsocooling marble floor. dinner was great, as usual, the annual shark's fin being the bomb.


all in all, a pretty mundane chinese new year. its no longer so special, just becoming more and more of a routine ever since we (cousins and such) grew older. on the plus side: i received $*** this year. HAHA. woohoo! thats like super cool. yeaaaa... its so much more than previous years can. rocks! (not to mention paper and scissors. hahaha)
