COMPETITION... boats

ohwell. whats there to say, another week of trainings. its been okay, at least that recent horrible streak where i could keep my balance for nuts is over... must be that ive gotten used to the wing paddle. ohwell, new paddle, new paddle entry, new paddling techniques... gotta start everything again. haha. at least its something to work towards.

most importantly, coach gave us the opportunity to use the competition boats this week. hah. on monday there was louis and i gleefully paddling around on the two 'liangjin's. whoa, though there wasnt much difference in terms of balancing and paddling, the feeling was great - haha each stroke felt wonderful, the boat just sliced the water like nobody's business. although, turning in BK2 was horrible like hell. the usual user, jon gan, is so tall that he adjusted the footrest so bloody far into the boat, then the tiller stuck out so much that it was halfway up my leg, and i had to turn it with my shins... ummm. yeah. ahwell, it was a good experience overall.

today, thursday, was another cool experience. i think that coach was feeling extra generous today cos he let almost all the j1 guys use competition boats. well lets see, there was Johnathan in BK2 liangjin, Weiyang in FEN liangjin, Darryl in SHANGHAI, Benjamin in BK1 nelo, Gideon in the marathon, and me in the regata. woots. haha. unbelievable. well, i think i prefer the liangjin more though. overall paddling in the regata was okayy, but i didnt really dare to shift my ass too much cos i was too scared of capping. lol. and the worst was when the waves came. haha. shaking like a leaf. ohwell, coach says that the boat is shaky, and that the balance comes with more water time on it... hmmm.. hope so. i suspect its got something to do with my crappy balance too. anyway, more water time on the regata sounds good. doesnt it?


on another note, the family's just left this morning for melacca. now its kinda me and the big empty house. empty. silent. quiet. creepy at night. NAH. kidding, its just freaking empty. haha. and thats the way it shall remain till saturday night when the family returns to add the noise... and loud talking. well well..
