STORYTIME:
there are 2 days in a week that a person should not have to worry about. these special days are yesterday and tommorow.

it is a fact that we often spend too much time and effort thinking and worrying about these 2 days that we cannot control. regret is an emotion that i feel is helpful to a certain extent to letting us know when we have done wrong and thus allowing us the chance to change in future. however, dwelling too much in the past has its own dire results, making us miss out on the happenings around us. sometimes, while obsessing over a figment of our past, we overlook what we should be cherishing in the present.

tommorow is a day that we can look to for a new beginning and change. important as it is, we cannot put our entire faith into believing that we can twist the future into what we want it to be. sometimes we just have to accept the things that come along and take them in our stride. it is no good continuously fretting about the things that we cannot control.

with those 2 out of the way, it only leaves today. today is what we live in. today is the present. as the saying goes: there is nothing like the present. what really matters to me is the present and whatever happens in it is my main concern. the people, events and happenings are here in this very moment to be cherished and we should not let up this opportunity.

life is not about the number of breaths we take;
but the moments that take our breath away.
